A 30ml longfill flavour shot is a bottle of concentrated flavour, with no nicotine in it, sold in a 30ml bottle that is only partly full. You top it up yourself with a nicotine salt shot and (usually) unflavoured base to make a finished mouth-to-lung liquid, typically 30ml at your chosen strength. It is the DIY-lite route: no measuring by syringe, one bottle, one shot, shake.
What separates one shot from another. Two things on the label matter. First, the fill volume: most 30ml shots hold 10ml of concentrate and expect 20ml of nic salt and base added, but some hold more or less, and that changes how much nicotine you need. Second, the target strength the maker designed the shot for. A shot built for a 20mg salt result will taste thin if you only make it to 6mg, and vice versa, because the concentration is fixed. Check the mixing instruction printed on the bottle or product page before you buy the matching nicotine.
Cost per finished millilitre. A R160 Bard shot plus a R40 to R130 nicotine shot makes roughly 30ml of finished liquid, so budget R6.50 to R9.50 per millilitre depending on the nicotine you pair it with. Compare that against a pre-mixed 30ml nic salt at around R299, which is closer to R10 per millilitre.
