DTL Disposables

DTL (direct-to-lung) disposables are large-format single-use devices tuned for an open, airy draw and low nicotine, the opposite of the tight, high-strength pod disposables that dominate the market. Most are hookah-styled: big airflow, cooler vapour, 5mg nicotine, and rated puff counts from 15,000 up to 40,000. ADVapes lists around 55 of them.

Why 5mg. A DTL device moves far more vapour per puff than a pod, so the nicotine per millilitre is set low to compensate. That 5mg figure is a specification of the product, not a recommendation; it is not “weaker” in effect than a 20mg pod in any simple way, because you inhale much more per draw. If you are used to 50mg pods, the sensation is completely different and the flavour is more forward. If you are used to a sub-ohm tank, this is the disposable that feels closest.

Puff counts and price. The Bro Vapes Hookah DTL is rated 40K puffs at R349, about 0.9 cents per rated puff, the lowest on the site alongside the Bewolk X 30K pod. The Al Fakher Crown Bar is rated 15K at R220 on special (R299 full price), about 1.5 cents per puff. As always, rated counts are machine estimates; DTL draws are long, so expect the real figure to be well under the printed one. Liquid volume, where listed, is the better comparison.
