Nasty Bar & Nasty Disposables in South Africa: Flavours & Guide
Few disposable brands are as instantly recognisable in South Africa as Nasty. Built on the flavour heritage of Nasty Juice, the Nasty Bar and wider Nasty disposable line-up have become go-to choices for vapers who want bold, true-to-taste fruit and menthol blends in a grab-and-go device. From the compact Nasty Bar DX3k right up to the enormous 55,000-puff Nasty Surge, there is a Nasty disposable to suit almost every budget and habit. This guide breaks down the range at ADVapes, the flavours to try, and how to choose the right puff count and strength.
Nicotine products are for adult smokers and vapers aged 18+ only.
About Nasty Bar and Nasty disposables
Nasty is a Malaysian brand that made its name with award-winning e-liquid flavours before expanding into disposables. That flavour pedigree is exactly why the Nasty Bar range stands out — the same signature profiles vapers loved in bottled form now come pre-filled in convenient, draw-activated devices. The Nasty disposable family spans several sub-ranges: the small, sharp Nasty Bar DX3k; the mid-sized Nasty Bar 14K and Nasty XL 20K; and the big-capacity Nasty DRG:ON, Nasty MAX, Nasty NEO and the flagship Nasty Surge 55K. Most run on 50mg (5%) nicotine salt for a smooth, satisfying throat hit, and the larger devices are rechargeable so you can use every last drop of e-liquid.
The range at ADVapes
ADVapes stocks a deep selection of Nasty disposables in genuine stock. Popular in-stock picks include:
- NASTY Bar DX3k 3000 50mg Strawberry Ice — a compact 3,000-puff disposable, ideal as a first Nasty or a back-up device.
- NASTY Bar DX3k 3000 50mg Mango Ice and Grape Ice — two of the most popular icy-fruit DX3k flavours.
- NASTY Surge 55K 50mg Peach Paradise Ice — the flagship 55,000-puff Surge with a South African-inspired flavour name.
- NASTY Surge 55K 50mg Sunshine Punch Ice and Watermelon Kiwi Ice — huge-capacity options for the heaviest all-day vapers.
- NASTY Bar DX3k 3000 50mg Vanilla Custard Tobacco — for those who prefer a dessert-tobacco profile over icy fruit.
Beyond these, the archive includes the Nasty Bar 14K, Nasty XL 20K, Nasty DRG:ON 25K, Nasty MAX 30K/40K and the Nasty Play 28K, giving you a full ladder of puff counts.
How to choose
Puff count. This is the headline number — roughly how many puffs the device is rated for. The DX3k gives around 3,000 puffs, the XL 20K around 20,000, and the Surge up to 55,000. Higher puff counts cost more upfront but usually work out cheaper per puff.
Nicotine strength (mg). Nearly all Nasty disposables are 50mg (5%) nic salt, which suits ex-smokers wanting a firm throat hit. If that feels too strong, a refillable pod kit lets you drop to lower strengths.
MTL vs DTL. The Nasty Bar and Surge disposables are mouth-to-lung (MTL) devices — a tight, cigarette-like draw. If you want big, airy clouds you would look instead at direct-to-lung hookah-style disposables.
Flavour family. Nasty leans into icy fruit (Strawberry Ice, Mango Ice, Grape Ice, Peach) plus a few dessert and energy profiles. If you like cooling menthol undertones, most of the “Ice” flavours deliver that crisp finish.
Disposable vs refillable. Disposables are the easiest way to vape with zero setup, but if you vape daily, a refillable pod system will save money over time.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to charge a Nasty disposable?
The larger devices (Surge, XL, DRG:ON) are rechargeable via USB-C so you can use all the e-liquid inside. The small DX3k is designed to last its rated puffs without needing a charge.
Which Nasty flavour is best to start with?
Strawberry Ice and Mango Ice are consistent best-sellers and a safe first choice thanks to their balanced sweet-and-cool profiles.
Are the puff counts exact?
Puff counts are manufacturer estimates. Real-world results depend on how long and hard you draw, so treat them as a guide rather than a guarantee.
