Cape Clouds South Africa: Bubble Trouble & Popsikl Longfills (2026)
Cape Clouds is a local South African e-liquid house with two ranges worth knowing: Bubble Trouble, the bubblegum line it built its name on, and Popsikl, a fruitier, ice-lolly-flavoured sibling. Both are sold as 120ml longfills, which is where most first-time buyers get caught out. Here is exactly what you are buying and what you need alongside it — everything below is on the shelf on the Cape Clouds brand page.
A 120ml “flavour shot” is not 120ml of e-liquid
This is the important part. A Cape Clouds 120ml bottle contains 30ml of concentrated flavour base in a 120ml bottle. The rest of the bottle is empty on purpose. To finish it you add roughly 80ml of VG and a 10ml freebase nic shot, cap it, and shake — and you end up with 120ml of finished, ready-to-vape e-liquid.
Buy the bottle on its own and you cannot vape it. Buy the bottle with VG and a nic shot and you have made 120ml of liquid for around R250 all-in, which is roughly R2 per millilitre. A ready-mixed 120ml from anywhere else will cost you noticeably more.
Bubble Trouble vs Popsikl
Bubble Trouble is the bubblegum line: sweet, unmistakably confectionery, and finished with a cold hit that stops it cloying. Wobble Gum is the straight-down-the-middle version; Extra Ice is the same idea with the menthol turned up hard.
Popsikl is the fruit line — closer to a frozen lolly than a sweet, and generally lighter on the palate. It is the range to take if you find bubblegum flavours exhausting after half a tank.
Both are mixed for direct-lung devices at the VG ratio Cape Clouds specifies. They are not designed for a tight MTL pod, and with a 10ml freebase shot in 120ml you will land at a low strength anyway — which is correct for a sub-ohm tank and wrong for a pod.
Best-selling Cape Clouds flavours at ADVapes
Bubble Trouble Wobble Gum — 120ml Longfill
R200
The original and still the best seller. Classic pink bubblegum with a light chill — this is the flavour that made Cape Clouds.
Bubble Trouble Extra Ice — 120ml Longfill
R200
Same bubblegum, considerably more menthol. Genuinely cold rather than merely cool — take this one if Wobble Gum reads as too sweet.
Popsikl Mango Strawberry — 120ml Longfill
R180
The fruit alternative, and cheaper. Mango and strawberry mixed like a frozen lolly — lighter than the bubblegum line and easier over a long session.
What you need in the basket
Three things, every time: the flavour shot, roughly 80ml of VG, and a 10ml freebase nic shot if you want nicotine in it. Leave the nic shot out and you have made a perfectly good 0mg liquid — which is a legitimate choice, and one a fair number of Cape Clouds customers make.
Mix it, then leave it alone for a day or two if you can. Longfills reward a short steep: the flavour rounds out and the harshness drops off. It is not mandatory, but it is the difference between a good mix and a great one.
